WW 2 # 5

It was a long way up the stairs, special for little feet . The windows in the staircase where blown out. It was very windy and the smell and smoke was overwhelming .

The stairs where safe and other people made it up safly to there home. As we reached our Appartment and opend the door we saw the curtains in the living room in full flames. Now we children started to panic, just like our mom. She hollered to me and my older sister to fill the bathtub with water.

Frantically she ripped the curtains of the window and tossed them in the bathtub. It was good we made it up in time before anything else could caught on fire. It was late at night and we all where cranky and tired. My mom put my little Sister 2 years old, and my little Btother 1 year old to bed.

We 3 older ones laid down with our clothes on. We fell asleep as soon as we hit the bed. Except for my Mom. I think she sensed it, that this episode wasn’t over. Today I know that the Holy Spirit was guiding her, it wasn’t over…….
